Registered Nurse-Associate

Job Description Provides direct nursing care to patients in a healthcare facility. Responsible for preparing equipment and aiding physician during treatment and examination of patients. Responsibilities • Provides direct nursing care to patients in a clinic setting to include: Preparing equipment and aiding physician during treatment and examination of patients, performing complex medical testing and providing interpretations of results, consulting with physicians and implementing treatment plans. • Administers prescribed medications and treatments, observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions. • Provides clinical oversight to Medical Assistants and LVNs. • Develops protocols and procedure manuals. • Performs daily maintenance checks and the preparation of rooms, instruments, supplies and performs or schedules routine maintenance of equipment. • Documents patient care and treatment and assists with training of staff. • Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Functions within the required nursing process as defined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act. • Supports the mission, vision and patient promise throughout all interactions. • Communicates effectively, written and verbally. Analytical thinking this role requires analyzing information and using logic to coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner. • Participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient. • Meets all training and competency requirements. Education: • Associate’s degree and successful completion of an accredited nursing program is required. Experience: • Up to one (1) year of nursing experience is required. Required Skills Up to one (1) year of nursing experience is required.
