Registered Nurse, Circulating Nurse 1-3 yrs. experience.

POSITIONSUMMARY:The OR circulating Nurse will provide planned, skilled nursing in the critical preoperative and postoperative period. The nurse will assist in planning and implementing post anesthesia care of the ambulatory surgery. Circulating nurse will assist in the surgical team in the operating room. In addition to preparing the operating room, he/she checks the stock of supplies and instruments. As a patient advocate, the circulating nurse interacts with the patient before surgery and serves as a patient protector during surgery. CREDENTIALS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES: • Minimum Associate in Nursing degree • Current Registered Nursing License in the State of Florida • Current BLS and ACLS certification • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians • Knowledge of medications, general health conditions and their impact on the periopertive course and anesthetic considerations • Able to make decisions confidently and quickly • Must be able to work under pressure and stress • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Medical Specialty: • Surgery Physical Setting: • Outpatient License/Certification: • BLS Certification/ACLS Certification (Preferred) • RN (Preferred) Work Location: In person
