Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/PACU

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced part-time Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Pre-Operative/PACU team! Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse on our Pre-Op/PACU team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. Your day will be filled with a mix of pre-operative preparation, surgical support, and post-anesthesia care. Your attention to detail and ability to stay organized will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
As a Registered Nurse in the Pre-Operative/PACU setting, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your duties will include:
• Pre-operative assessment and preparation of patients, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and educating patients on the surgical process and post-operative care
• Providing post-anesthesia care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing pain levels, and administering medications as needed
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and families during the recovery process
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care, including charting and reporting as required
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects to continually refine processes and provide the best possible care
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Requirements:
• Current RN license in the state of Texas
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pre-Op/PACU setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
