Registered Nurse (RN) - Observation
Job Description
OBSERVATION UNIT
Reporting to the NurseManager, the staff RN performs professional role functions in accordance withscope of practice and professional standards, including demonstrating theknowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope of practice, professionalstandards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVNand all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. TheRN demonstrates the ability to assess their own professional role performance,current knowledge of theory and principles related to discipline specificpractice, and the ability to use a population based approach to determinepatient needs.
Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
2. Current CPR certification required.
3. Current ACLS required within 3 months of hire (ACLS required within 6 monthsfor new grad RNs).
4. Current PALS required within 3 months of hire, (PALS required within 6months for new grad RNs).
5. Current MAB or CPI (Non-violent Crisis Protection, Intervention) requiredwithin 6 months of hire.
6. Current NIHSS certificate required within 6 months of hire.
