Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

RANGE REFLECTS SPAN OF PROFESSIONAL LADDER.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RNperforms professional role functions in accordance with scope of practice andprofessional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability touse and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation/ regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursingpersonnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current CA State licensure as a RegisteredNurse required.

2. Current CPR certificate required.

3. NRP required for Maternal Child experienced RN’s (required within 6 monthsof hire for new grad RNs, or RNs with no Maternal Childexperience).

4. Experience and/or training in leadership preferred, if acting as a chargenurse.
