Registered Nurse (RN) - Couplet Care

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performsprofessional role functions in accordance with scope of practice andprofessional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability touse and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation/ regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursingpersonnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs.

* Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduate of an accredited RegisteredNurse (RN) program required.

2. Experience and/or training inleadership preferred, if acting as a charge nurse

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current license as aRegistered Nurse in the State of California.

2. Current CPR certificationrequired.

3. NRP preferred upon hire.Required within 3 months of employment for experienced RN’s; required within 6months of employment for new grad RN’s.

4. Basic Fetal Monitoringrequired within 3 months of employment for experienced nurses; required within6 months of employment for new grad RN’s.
