We are looking for a Database Administrator to work within the global database and data analytical organization to provide a high-level database expertise for day-to-day support of production and development environments. As a member of our team, you'll play an important role in providing the best-in-class database infrastructure and high performing database environment to our customers. We support MS SQL, Sybase and PostgreSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• develop and implement automated solutions by leveraging DevOps construct• Subject Matter Expert for Database Product and functionalities in MSSQL, SYBASE and PostgreSQL• analyze and Resolve Database performance issues• be part of leadership team to provide expert opinions, design solutions and implement automations• support the Service & Product Manager across several technical domains• ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications are of the highest quality standard• contribute expertise to the management of existing and new IT database products and services• define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements• perform SME activities for complex High Availability and Disaster Recovery, performance tuning and troubleshooting, Database administration

Skills

Must have

• ideally 5+ years of experience in a similar role• proven experience working in large and complex database international environments in Sybase primarily and either MS SQL or PostgreSQL• experience in high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Log Shipping, mirroring, replication, Always ON, setup/maintain/diagnose native• familiar with UNIX platform system administration, knows Shell scripting/automation tools• experienced in supporting large infrastructure for incident/change management, good knowledge of ITIL concept and practices• good communicator, able to adapt style and detail to the audience.• motivated, growth mindset and self-driven• strong collaboration skills and equally capable of managing shift alone

Nice to have

• experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL on Azure• financial sector background• experience with architecture review and database migration
