Under limited supervision, is responsible for assignments involving the collection, classification and analysis of economic, accounting, financial and tariff data relating to rate design, modification and evaluation. Responsible for reviewing and providing written and verbal analysis of proposed State and Federal legislation and proposed rules and regulations. Designs tariffs and prepares testimony; coordinates filings with and testifies before the Commission. Performs regulatory studies and recommends policy decisions. Performs regulatory studies and provides financial, technical, and regulatory analysis recommending and supporting senior management policy decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Designs and maintain tariffs or modifies existing tariffs to satisfy revenue requirements for the company or to accomplish specific goals.
- Keeps abreast of current developments in the field of regulatory proceedings and decisions, statistical methodology, new and revised tariffs of other companies, and accounting, economic and financial trends.
- Prepares illustrations to present data quickly and in a comprehensive manner. Prepares reports and special studies as may be requested.
- Provides written reports which include objective, fact - based and well - reasoned recommendations and rationale.
- Supports the preparation and filing of rate proceedings, and related reporting requirements.
- Monitors and researches regulatory trends in the industry and provides written memos and support analysis for consideration by regulatory leadership.
- Supports efforts of tariffs & rate administration.
- Perform accounting and financial analysis.
- Carries out projects and data analysis.
