Regulatory Reporting Analyst

The Regulatory Reporting Department’s overall global mandate is to provide governance across all regulatory filings and obligations for the firm including but not limited to completeness of the global inventory of filings, institute process and workflow controls, facilitate the creation of policies and procedures and provide process measurement reporting. Our team is responsible for generating and coordinating responses for the larger cross departmental filings, managing external vendor relationships, oversight over technology supporting regulatory filings, evaluating automation options, and administering data standards.  

• Prepare filing responses for various regulators (i.e. SEC, NFA, FCA, MAS)
• Gather requirements, data analysis, functional and technical specifications development
• Partner with business teams to clearly document requirements and workflows for various regulations
• Collaborate with Compliance, Tax, Legal, Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations teams on various filings/requests
• Help enhance robust controls framework as needed
• Class action data analysis
• Manage compliance inquiries/regulatory data requests
• Various position and transaction monitoring checks
• Maintain the regulatory reporting databases and websites
• Document management
• Review upcoming regulations and support various projects

• 0-3 years of experience working in a Regulatory Reporting function at a financial institution
• Basic knowledge of financial products as well as the desire to learn more as you will be given opportunities to gain strong knowledge of each product (e.g., equities, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives)
• Attention to detail and the tenacity to produce a meticulous work product
• Highly organized, process driven, and structured
• A self-starter, efficient, positive and able to work independently
• Ability to juggle many tasks at once under pressure, prioritize such tasks and see each through to completion
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills
• Takes ownership and holds accountability
• Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills – the work is often team based and requires one to be relationship oriented
• Sound professional judgment and trustworthy with sensitive information
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite
• Proven academic and work achievement with exceptional reading and writing skills
• Understanding of hedge/investment fund structures
• Exposure to data automation tools (Alteryx, Tableau) would be helpful as well as the willingness to obtain working knowledge of data automation tools.
