The Reimbursement Case Specialist is a dynamic, public-facing role that is focused on supporting a variety of patient access and reimbursement functions. Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with exceptional customer service skills are essential functions for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform benefit verification and pre-authorizations.
  • if they do not have all the information needed for a pre-auth or if it kicked back by the insurer this role will call the insurances companies, providers, medical record departments and maybe even the patients to get the correct info to re-submit.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies
  • Ensure all work products comply fully with related guidelines, regulations, standards, policies, and mission of MCRA.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree
  • 1+ year of experience in health care, preferably in a physician practice or facility
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Detail and process-oriented, with analytical and documentation proficiencies
  • Demonstrates strong patient advocacy skills, and client interaction skills
