Join us as a Relationship Manager - Investor

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Relationship Manager (RM) - Investor to join our Private Banking Multi Family Office Team in New York. In this role, you will serve as the investment point person for high-net-worth clients within a team. Your focus will be on portfolio management and developing a deep understanding of the investment platform. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of credibility, presence, and confidence in working with clients. As an RM Investor, you will have direct client interaction by attending meetings on your own as well as with the Senior RM on the team for more complex relationships.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • The RM - Investor is responsible for helping the Senior RM win new clients and deepen and strengthen existing client relationships through advising on investment solutions
  • Determine appropriate investment policy statements and asset allocation advice based on BBH's Investment Research Group's recommendations to meet client needs and objectives
  • Possess high level of investment knowledge (for example, knowledge of all asset classes and their characteristics, risks, tax consequences)
  • Prepare for account review meetings and creation of client meeting materials
  • Exercise sound, professional investment judgement on behalf of clients, while avoiding risks to the firm and demonstrate adherence to the compliance requirements of the business including Investment Policy Statements, Know your Customer requirements, and executing documentation and written records of client meetings and discussions

Qualifications:

  • BA / BS required
  • 4-6 years of relevant investment experience
  • CFA and / or MBA preferred

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $120,000, which is specific to New York, NY and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
