Key to this role is having a "better than general" understanding of networking technologies and functions including Operations, Architecture, Engineering, Product and Service Management, Business Services and Finance. Concepts such as driving value, always delivering quality, keeping commitments, being on-time and under-budget, effective and detailed communications and understanding how their work impacts how the firm competes in the marketplace are important. The lead is responsible for the resolution of project escalations, tracks and manages synergies and dependencies supporting network implementation deliverables.
The Lead Release Manager works closely with other lead Engineers and Program Managers and other support and service providers and helps ensure timely and on budget delivery of projects. Additionally, the Lead RDM Release Manager assures the timely delivery of Status reports, Financial Forecasts and Cost Sizing's in accordance with the documented procedures.
This role is part of a global solutions and service delivery organization. This position will interface directly with internal and external customers/suppliers/providers, Architecture, Product Engineering, Design/Implementation engineering, Change, Service and Product Management, finance and business management and Operations teams. Interface with various levels of senior management.
This position requires strong written, verbal and presentation skills the candidate must be able to work on their own and successfully manage a team of RDM's supporting projects of various sizes. The Lead must have knowledge and use of standards, product sets, templates, systems and artifacts are important to the success of the RDM staff and the projects they manage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for reviewing and ensuring sufficient education of the staff as related to project deliverables for the basic Roles and Responsibilities required for the RM to be successful in their position (through external vendor as applicable)
- Assure specific education of the staff for specialized project processes as it relates to their channel
- Manages staff vacation and backup accountability for project related tasks (through external vendor as applicable)
- Meets with staff on periodic basis and conducts project review meetings
- Reviews utilization information to determine staff availability for project assignment. Assigns resources to projects in System of Record (Nexus)
- Support of Project Intake process including identification of Project type and routing
Project related responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring Release Manager follows Policy and Procedures or best business practice including:
- Nexus (or system of record) functions assigning resources, validation of required information (CAPPM, PPRT Co/CC etc....) and performing Phase changes
- Project Financials functions of reviewing and approving vendor quotes for reasonability, reviewing budget and status report on recurring basis to ensure accurate and sufficient, reviewing, and approving cost sizing's or PCR's
- Ensure adherence to change management processes including review and approval of CRQ's
- Accountable for managing and resolving project escalations
- Responsible for project and program level reporting to Senior Level managers and staff
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience required in technical role supporting network project/programs
- Experience with Change Management and CAB processes and procedures
- Extensive background in IT service delivery role
- Strong analytical skills
- Jira, Confluence, Lean-Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe Agile methodologies

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or related field/technical training
- Industry Certifications in PMP, ITIL are strongly preferred, technical certifications such as CCNA
- Financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking)
- Ability to be nimble and flexible; prioritize workload, proactively react to issues, and consistently react to shifting deadlines
- Ability to create meaningful data that contributes to the Change Management and Service Delivery processes

Pay and benefits information
Jersey City pay range:
$133,500 - $190,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
