Release of Information Specialist

What You’ll Be Doing: 

We are looking for a Release of Information Specialist to help us build the health information vertical of Grow Therapy, and who will work on audit requests and medical record management projects. You’ll be part of a remote-friendly team of medical billing and management professionals reporting directly into the Insurance Operations Department. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Review Medical Records Requests, compile responses, and deliver to requesting entity
• Review Payor or Government Audits, compile responses, and deliver to requesting entity
• Work with RCM Operations to identify areas of opportunity to improve Medical Record collection, storage, and accessibility to enable improved performance against requests
• Assess our current workflows and partner with leadership to scale the functionality of our healthcare records management
• Partner with technical teams to develop efficient systems that can improve the accuracy, compliance, and speed in which we respond to requests.

Salary range: $90,843-$136,562

You’ll Be a Good Fit If: 

• You have 2 - 4 years of experience managing healthcare records at a mid-large sized organization.  Experience working in a healthcare start-up is a plus.
• You have passion for health information management and are comfortable explaining complex requests to both internal and external stakeholders.
• You hold a specialized certification in health information management.   RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) is preferred.
• You have strong communication skills and can quickly and succinctly present your ideas to company leaders.
• You have a bias for action and care about delivering results and meeting deadlines.
