Reliability and Project Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The primary role of the Reliability engineer is to utilize engineering practices to drive out sources of repetitive failure in equipment and processes. The Reliability Engineer will identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. In addition, the Reliability Engineer is involved in the Early Management design and installation stages of Capital projects for new assets and modification of existing assets, and conducts and develops various analytical methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and processes.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing strategies to improve equipment reliability
- Routinely auditing reliability program result to ensure enhanced life of equipment and reduce maintenance repairs and costs
- Managing KPIs to track efficiency
- Offering technical support to other departments on equipment and reliability issues
- Analyze plant downtime, quality, safety, and financial data to identify areas of focus for the maintenance and operations teams:
- Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, including analyzing failure mechanisms and implementing solutions to improve reliability, quality, safety, and financial performance.
- Redesign machinery and / or processes to improve plant reliability and lower operating costs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong grasp of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and fixed time maintenance strategies
- Thorough understanding of precision alignment and vibration analysis
- Strong communication and team building skills
