Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking a Reliability Coordinator to join our Automation & Platform team in Atlanta, GA. As a member of the Automation Platform team, the Reliability Coordinator will work within Georgia-Pacific's multiple businesses with focus on legacy automated guided vehicle (AGV) equipment.

Our Team

This is a dynamic role that advances opportunities within Georgia Pacific's manufacturing facilities by creating value in the overall improvement of AGV reliability across three Operating Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) platforms. This role will report to the Automation and Robotic AGV Platform Leader.

What You Will Do

  • Identify obsolescent parts and develop a plan with the OEM around how to safely and efficiently return the effected assets to OEM specs prior to a failure. Then, clearly communicate these revisions to impacted mills, with a long-term plan for the new parts and correcting the parts identification tools along with proper stocking strategies.
  • Work with the Asset Strategy team, to develop and verify that all Critical Spares are submitted for active projects with tracking for delivery dates, for those parts with the Inventory Management team.
  • Maintain a strong focus with sourcing new vendors for all critical spares, to become more cost effective and improve lead-times. Work closely with Inventory management team when implementing the new vendors.
  • Develop a strategy that will allow all repairable spare parts for the Automated Guided Vehicles to be returned to the Atlanta Central Distribution Center and identify the OEM for those parts. Determine how to track those items through the repair process and return them and be stocked properly in Atlanta.
  • Support mills with their stocking requests, with regards to legacy fleets and new projects. Identify the proper strategies based on data/usage as well as factoring the age of their fleet.
  • Review all platform asset strategies for improvement opportunities. Verify that all platforms are installing OEM recommended lubricants, for all applications.
  • Develop a plan for the installation OEM software upgrades, when necessary for affected mills.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Able to travel up to 50%
  • Experience supporting internal and external customer within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP / MP2
  • Experience working within a manufacturing operations - based maintenance/reliability position

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering field with emphasis in reliability engineering
  • Experience with Automated Guided or Laser Guided Vehicles
  • Mechanical/electrical/programming experience
  • Experience using SAP as a super user
