Reliability Engineer I
Job Description
Provide reliability engineering input as a member of a Business Unit, a cross functional product support team. Work with Business Units to establish reliability plans and reliability verification testing requirements. Analyze failure rates, failure modes, and failure mechanisms to support robust product design. Conduct/Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis. Analyze reliability problems in existing products, develop, test, implement, and track solutions. Analyze warranty and call center data, establish trends, determine root cause of failure and corrective action. Design and redesign of mechanical systems in cooking and refrigeration products. Work closely with Service personnel to identify field problems and implement solutions. Work with Purchasing, Quality Engineering, and component suppliers to drive reliability improvement in purchased components. Work with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in identifying in-house problems, implementing solutions, and supporting reliability initiatives / continuous improvement. Generate test plans and work with test lab technicians to evaluate product and components.
