Reliability Engineering Intern (Spring 2024)
Job Description
Mill is all about answering a simple question: how can we prevent waste? Less waste can save time, money, energy, maybe even our planet. And thereβs no better place to start than food. Food waste is one of the most solvable climate problems facing us today. Plus, our trash really stinks. Itβs gross, heavy, and our least favorite chore. At Mill we are striving to build a better environment for all, as we take on climate and kitchen change.

- As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to develop and automate new testers and fixtures to enhance the testing process.
- During your internship you will help develop test plans.
- When necessary, you will drive root-cause analysis and perform failure analysis.
- You will acquire test data and analyze the data, document test results and present your results to the broader team.
- As part of your internship you will be learning about design for reliability, physics of failure, lifetime prediction models, and other reliability toolsets.
- Good hands-on skills are required for assembly and disassembly of samples, test fixtures, and experimental setups.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Willingness to work in a dynamic development environment and getting involved in hands-on work.
- Bringing a can-do attitude and growth mindset

A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
