Job Description

This pivotal position interfaces with Rockwell Automation customers, field sales and support management to drive customer success. It is a critical role in Rockwell Automation strategy to support the Maintenance and Engineering group in all aspects of the customer's plant production automation and equipment as a consultant to the customer assuring high impact outcomes. Individual is expected to work with the Maintenance and Engineering group in researching parts, components and issues to reduce production downtime and increase equipment reliability driving productivity and cost reduction. Individual is expected to be well versed in process equipment, parts identification, able to read hardware drawings and Bill of Materials to determine potential failure points.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Failure trend analysis to drive reliability improvement projects
  • Responsible for the definition, justification and implementation of storeroom requirements.
  • Provides consultative, transactional, and analytical services to the client. This includes, but is not limited to, gathering relevant product data and creating metrics reports and databases that would aid in project status reports.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the storeroom.
  • Performs a variety of tasks with limited amount of instructions and pre-established guidelines
  • Executing the timely and efficient process of filling parts requisition forms presented by technicians and entering/maintaining parts information associated with the parts requisition through the SAP system
  • Assist in component failure root cause analysis
  • Able to perform Firmware identification on control assets
  • Able to perform battery charging and motor maintenance activities
  • Able to maintain orderly and debris-free inventory stock room

  • Combines technical and professional expertise with knowledge of customer and industry to impact business decisions.
  • Clearly quantifies and articulates customer value derived from RA products and solutions.
  • Prioritizes own work activities to focus first on those that add value (directly & indirectly) to customer's priorities and stated objectives/plans

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree OR equivalent (5) years of relevant experience
  • Overnight travel is required and could be up to 25% of total time
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.


Preferred Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have intermediate computer proficiency in, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The candidate must act with a sense of urgency; have strong communication skills.
  • The candidate must be a highly motivated individual that is able to multitask, have strong data entry skills, excellent organizational skills, great problem solving skills, be very detail-oriented, and work independently as well as with a small team.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to identify issues and recognize trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity in working within an ERP system software environment, especially SAP.
