We are currently seeking a Project Manager specializing in Relocation Project Management to join our Project and Development Services team. Our team's priorities are:

What this job involves

Managing industry changing projects

As a Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for leading and delivering challenging projects. Your strong knowledge of the relocation aspects of construction projects from start to finish will speak to your ability to push the business forward through innovative and industry changing ideas. You will contribute to the development of project budgeting and scheduling, overseeing the strategy and execution through completion of post construction employee relocations. You will also be engaged in coordinating and leading all efforts associated with swing / temporary relocations during phased construction. You will be focused on the client experience by providing innovative solutions to conflicting priorities.

You are an individual who sees the big picture, acts decisively, and focuses on creating an energized and collaborative environment. As a Project Manager, you will contribute to the establishment and refinement of work quality, cultural initiatives, and best practices to drive results as a team. You will also contribute to developing successful, diverse teams through inclusive and thoughtful means of communication. Success will be measured by your ability to develop winning strategies for project execution.

You are people focused, seeking out and understanding the needs, perspectives and motivations of clients and team members alike. Your ability to manage client and vendor relationships will allow for seamless conflict resolution, account maintenance, and overall development of client relationships. Your skills to assist in Change Management for client employees will be critical for the human experience of our PDS services.

Education and experience
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or Construction Management is Preferred.
  • Five years of project management experience in all aspects of design and construction.
  • Strong basis of knowledge in project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management and contract negotiations .
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and web based applications
  • Experience working with Financial Services clients, including people moves and relocations, is preferred.
A relationship builder

Both verbal and written communication skills are vital, and of course you'll be good at establishing relationships with all levels of the organization & external clients.

Tech minded

The real estate, construction and workplace industries are consistently changing with technology. You'll need to make technology work to your advantage. You must demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of project management technology tools and continually seek opportunities to develop your skillset.

Requirements
  • Position requires flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend work hours during move activities with occasional travel throughout North/Central Florida and surrounding areas.
  • Face to face and remote daily interpersonal interaction is required to perform the job.
  • This position will require extensive walking and standing for long periods of time.
  • Some physical activities will be involved including the ability to lift at least 25lbs
  • Eagerness to support teammates across service lines, take on additional responsibilities, special assignments, and perform administrative duties as assigned.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to delegate, multi-task, and work both in a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.
Responsibilities
  • Coordination and execution of concurrent small and large office moves and changes throughout multiple buildings across locations.
  • Monitor and validate work, information and data; plan and organize time and resources efficiently.
  • Professional planning and hands on management/oversight of multiple projects at various phases and in various locations; from project identification through design, planning, client approval, permit issuance, construction, and financial closeout.
  • Demonstrate full accountability for end-to-end management of projects.
  • Provide weekly project activity updates to Regional Manager for Project Schedule, Budget, and Risk.
  • Development risk management plans, and lead teams through established work authorization processes to ensure no impacts or incidents within critical environments or equipment.
  • Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases of construction including project charter, due diligence reports, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, financial funding requests, status reports, punch lists, and special reports on-time and in accordance with pre-established formats to pass all project documentation reviews and audits with client.
  • Manage vendors and project activities to ensure full compliance with all project policies and procedures, within pre-determined Key Performance Indicators.
