This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional seeking a mostly remote position (telecommuting 4 out of 5 days) with a steady/predictive flow of responsibilities. This is also an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking to obtain experience performing a broad array of accounting functions in a professional services environment. The Accounting Associate will be one of a five-member accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller with high visibility to the CFO.


Job Description

  • Participates in full-cycle accounting and month-end close process in a professional services environment. 
  • Manage accounts receivable & project accounting: manage accounting for numerous projects, including revenue recognition, billing, collections, and revenue & expense accruals. Work directly with senior project managers.
  • Maintain and reconcile several GL accounts.
  • Responsible for recording daily cash receipts.
  • Prepare various month-end closing reports for management.
  • Accounting for international subsidiary and certain domestic subsidiaries
  • Back-up support for accounts payable: payables processing including data entry, research vendor inquiries, employee expense reimbursements, and initiating payments.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting required
  • Prior professional accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online a plus
  • Professional presentation with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Can-do attitude and strong commitment to a high-level of customer service
  • Aptitude for utilizing automated accounting systems
