Role Description

CloudCPA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hybrid Accounting Manager / Tax Accountant to join our team. This role combines management responsibilities with hands-on tax preparation and accounting expertise. This is a cloud-based remote position and candidates from all across the United States are encouraged to apply.

• Manage a team of accountants overseeing their work and professional development
• Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships S Corporations C Corporations and individuals
• Provide high-level accounting services to clients using Xero and other cloud-based tools
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies and financial decision-making
• Prepare and provide financial statements to clients
• Maintain and enhance client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation
• Proven management experience in an accounting environment
• Expert-level proficiency with Xero accounting software
• Experience with Gusto payroll software
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations for various entity types
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• CPA certification is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation (recommended)
• Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Experience with additional cloud-based accounting and financial tools
• Knowledge of small business operations and challenges
