The role

Working hand in hand with our global Engineering Solutions product portfolio team, you'll help shape and execute upon our User Experience strategy, build and promote effective user research and user-centered design practices, with the ultimate goal of continuously elevating the value of our solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide UX leadership and serve as an enthusiastic advocate for our customers;

• Translate user needs into elegant solutions that deliver on business goals and are technically feasible to implement;

• Define and improve workflows and user interactions with the product;

• Grow our user research capabilities to ensure that we have the knowledge we need to make informed product decisions;

• Collaborate as a key member of product and user research;

• Work closely with product management team to uncover opportunities through research and ensure a cohesive user experience across all products;

• Collaborate with product teams to incorporate user-centered design into every-day ways of working: persona development, understanding customer needs, ideation, prototyping, usability testing; coach product teams on user research, design thinking, and product discovery best practices;

• Advocate the importance of user-centered design across all areas of the business.

Education/Experience requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design, or related field;

• 6+ years of experience shipping products and collaborating with developers;

• Portfolio with strong case studies of leading successful product design and evolution;

• Deep understanding of user-centered design methods - especially related to digital products - and the ability to work at all levels of the process;

• Experience with user research throughout the product life cycle, incorporating data from multiple sources into decision making;

• Experience with applying product discovery to conceptualization of new products and/or continuous improvement of the existing ones;

• Experience with SaaS component design and B2B solutions;

• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
