This role is within our Residency Offering, which is a solution that provides strategic technical resources to our customers on a contractual basis.

We are seeking a Remote Cloud FinOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with (primarily) Azure, AWS, and/or GCP services, including hands-on experience using spot instances and reserved instances. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing cloud usage data and billing to identify optimization opportunities and implementing cloud architecture patterns and best practices. Candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be proficient in Python, SQL, or other data analysis languages. You should also have experience building PowerBI or other data visualizations. You will work closely with our cloud architects, engineers, and data analysts to ensure our cloud infrastructure is optimized for cost, performance, and security.

  • Location: Remote
  • Duration: 2 ½ W2 contract with opportunity to convert to permanent hire
  • Pay: Dependent on experience, though in the realms of $85.00 to $110.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze cloud usage data and billing to identify optimization opportunities.

Implement cloud architecture patterns and best practices.

Work with cloud architects, engineers, and data analysts to optimize cloud infrastructure.

Build PowerBI or other data visualizations to monitor cloud usage and cost.

Develop scripts and tools to automate cloud optimization tasks.

Generate reports and recommendations for cloud cost optimization and management.

What you'll need to succeed:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud optimization, cloud architecture, or data analytics.

Hands-on experience with Azure (primarily), AWS, and/or GCP services.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other data analysis languages.

Experience building PowerBI or other data visualizations.

Understanding of cloud architecture patterns and best practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
