JOB DESCRIPTION

What does a Data Analyst do at Green Dot?

In this role, you will present your data analysis that informs planning and drives strategic decision making for Green Dot. In this role, you will build and maintain reporting tools (such as dashboards) to track data, using this data to define KPIs, generate reports, and build predictive models. This role will require the knowledge of scripting in programming languages like SQL and Python and will be responsible for writing queries and other data transformation scripts. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the process of cleaning, analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data using different approaches and business intelligence tools is known as data analysis.

As a Data Analyst, you can look forward to:

• Developing new enterprise business intelligence (BI) service offerings, content creation, and value propositions to support and improve business processes.

• Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.

• Provide ongoing development and maintenance of an operational data store and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.

• Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability, and value.

• Provide ongoing development and maintenance of a BI architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad-hoc analysis and insight generation.

• Provide interactive real-time dashboards and key performance indicators using Tableau or newly identified BI tools.

• Writing queries or data transformation scripts using SQL and Python

• Use large data sets to define KPIs and generate reports.

• Assist with process improvement.

• 5+ years of experience in an analytical position.

• Familiarity with data collection software and protocol.

• Experience integrating new software and programs to data services.

• Capable of prioritizing multiple projects while still achieving deadlines.

• Excellent analytical and forecasting ability.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in analyzing Jira and Project Portfolio data.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $66,300 to $101,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
