In this vital role, you will lead the technical and strategic efforts in the realm of data science, focusing on healthcare. Your contributions will drive the development of next-generation analytics, enhancing the accuracy of financial predictions and ensuring timely insights for decision-makers. You will influence strategies that improve enterprise risk management related to medical costs and claims, thereby enhancing financial predictability for our partners. Accountabilities

  • Lead the design, development and deployment of advanced statistical and machine learning models for reserving and trend analytics.
  • Introduce innovative modeling techniques for trend anomaly detection and predictive frameworks.
  • Maintain deep technical fluency in data science technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create integrated solutions.
  • Effectively communicate findings and insights to technical audiences and senior leadership.
  • Ensure models meet governance standards, including documentation and validation.
  • Manage and mentor data science professionals, fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation.
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Data Science focused on Healthcare.
  • Expertise in Python, R, SQL, Git, and cloud-based ML development.
  • Proven experience with statistical methods, machine learning, and NLP models.
  • Familiarity with regression, decision trees, neural networks, and anomaly detection techniques.
  • Experience with healthcare payer data and actuarial applications.
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership abilities to mentor and develop data science talent.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science or related field preferred.
