Remote Entry Level Software Engineer

SkillStorm is actively seeking remote Full-time Entry Level Software Engineers for one of our Fortune 500 clients. This position requires no previous experience and will receive 12 weeks of training to ensure they are ready to hit the ground running day one on the job!

The ideal candidate is a team player that understands the requirements for working on both small and large teams, a continuous self-learner that stays up to date with technology trends, and an efficient communicator.

Remote Entry Level Software Engineer requirements are:

• Experience with software development using a modern OOP language (Java, C#, or similar) with a strong understanding in programming, data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. under SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
• Strong technical mind-set, including problem solving, troubleshooting, logical reasoning
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Remote Entry Level Software Engineer responsibilities are:

• Utilize frameworks and languages like Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, JavaScript, React/Angular, and HTML to develop new and/or modify existing applications.
• Configure cloud computing environments and deploy highly-scalable applications to the Cloud and monitor/tune applications for security and performance.
• Architect resilient and fault-tolerant Cloud native microservices for high throughput systems.
• Collaborate in the creation of visual mock-ups, prototypes and diagrams as well as develop, deploy, test, and maintain applications.
• Communicate all ongoing activities and results to business sponsors, stakeholders, and management.
• Ability to work with project teams to successfully deliver new or modified functionalities.
• Keen attention to detail to deliver solutions that meet business requirements and are operationally supportable.
