Remote - HR Internship (Summer 2023)
Job Description
As an HR Intern, you will support the HR Service Center, utilizing internal predefined HR processes including, but not limited to, employee benefits, payroll, absence management, performance management, onboarding, personnel files, employment verifications, data integrity and auditing. The HR Service Center provides first-in-class service to our employees and managers through inquiries received by phone, chat or via our employee portal. You'll work internally with our corporate Human Resources team across a variety of functions, gaining hands-on experience as you help collaborate, innovate, and develop solutions. This paid internship will begin with an onboarding program where you'll learn more about C.H. Robinson, our technology, processes, and culture.
This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Work along Human Resource professionals to provide general HR support to employees and managers.
- Execute predefined processes from detailed written or verbal instructions and apply knowledge of the process for follow-up and troubleshooting.
- Learn and effectively use best-in-class technology systems, including Workday and Service Now.
- Learn and apply skills across multiple areas of Human Resources through internal Centers of Excellence, building strong relationships internally across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team environment, while also delivering independent results
- Relationship building skills
- Driven, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Undergraduate education at a Junior or Senior level (pursuing an Human Resources or related major is a plus)
Compensation Range
$11.49 - $22.16
