Remote Institutional Relationship Manager
Job Description
The Institutional Relationship Manager will be responsible for conducting 529 college savings seminars and outreach to Nevada employers, community groups and other local organizations on behalf of Future Path a Nevada 529 Plan.
The position will be home-based however, occasional evening, weekend and overnight travel throughout the State is required. The position requires excellent presentation and organization skills, a Bachelor's Degree and a Series 6 or 7 securities license
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Presentations to Prospective Participants
- Conduct workshops and deliver presentations on the Nevada - Future Path 529 Plan.
- Attend benefit fairs, maintain information booths and distribute 529 information
- Develop Client Relationships
- Source and develop leads with employers, community groups and local organizations
- Develop relationships with proponents of financial literacy in the community
- Develop relationships with key elected officials and state government agencies
- Assist the Director, plan Relationship Manager and State client where applicable
- Represent Ascensus and the Nevada - Future Path 529 Plan in the community to the highest standard as an ambassador for college savings
- Promotion of Payroll Direct Deposit with Employers
- Source and develop leads with HR / payroll / key benefit decision makers
- Present to and meet with employers to explain and promote the benefits of payroll direct deposit; positioning and supporting 529 as a workplace voluntary benefit
- Coordinate implementation and service support services as necessary
- Project Work
- Determine what events to attend and activities to engage in to maintain an active calendar within annual budget limits
- Track and report on events, activities, key relationships and overall impact
- Attend Board meetings as required and prepare to report on activity and impact
- Attend and participate in status calls with State partners and Ascensus team
- Work with Marketing to develop effective communication/marketing materials
- Industry Expert
- Develop a strong working knowledge of 529 plan rules and guidelines
- Stay abreast of changes to applicable laws and rules
- Obtain and maintain Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses

Minimum Requirements:
The position will be home-based in the State of Nevada, preferably in the Reno area; however, occasional night, weekend and overnight travel throughout the State is required.
- Bachelor's degree
- Current Series 6 or 7 and 63 FINRA licenses preferred; or ability to obtain within 90 days
- 2 - 4 years financial services experience in sales, marketing or client service
- Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience presenting to large groups of people
- Professional training experience a plus
- Sales or client management experience
- Knowledge of 529 plans preferred
- Work independently from home and travel throughout the State of Nevada
- Ability to work some nights and weekends with occasionally overnight travel
- Proficient in all MS Office applications
