(REMOTE) Lead Test Engineer - Embedded Systems

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Test Engineer to join the Digital organization within DRE (Digital Robotic and Enabling Technologies) as a Test Lead.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the Test Engineer Lead, you will be focused on Embedded Connectivity and Integration within our Digital, you will partner with connectivity technologists from around the organization in the development of HW and SW Technology blocks and protocols that will be used as enterprise standards for Device to Device and Device to Cloud connectivity This team takes a systems approach to tech block development and is looking for a test lead to try and break what has been built and increase the robustness of the designs.

• Understand new embedded software, firmware, and hardware designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, business analysts, QA, external vendors, business partners) to ensure quality software delivery.
• Lead test strategy definition to include UAT, functional, integration, performance, system testing with testing tools, and test automation as appropriate.
• Lead, mentor, and work with the local and remote testing teams across the globe to drive verification and validation efforts.
• Review, execute or evaluate project documentation including validation plans/summaries with test script outputs to ensure we are delivering quality software.
• Design, develop and execute verification and compliance test methods for hardware interfaces, embedded software, and network interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB, etc.
• Write test software to simulate real world environments and conditions
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies as appropriate.
• Function in an Agile (Scrum)/DevOps team while using ALM tools to help with defect tracking, traceability, release and build management efforts.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and closing to lead testing activities.
• Identify and partner with third-party vendors to drive execution and results of testing strategies.
• Share and educate the team on software/hardware quality best practices and processes
• Work with leadership and team members to solicit process requirements and drive organizational change for continuous process improvements.
• Communicate with large groups of people; in-person and virtual.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 4+ years experience in a software/electrical engineering organization in a development or testing role.
• 3+ years of setting up of test environment for Verification & Validation activities.
• Knowledge in testing windows .NET embedded applications and API testing. (C# or other technologies is applicable)
• Experience in providing innovative solutions to Automate Web/Windows/iOS/Linux embedded applications.
• Experience in leading remote teams located across the globe.
• Working knowledge of different SDLC's (software development life cycle) particularly agile scrum/SAFe/DevOps model.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure (preferred) / Amazon Web Services.
• Good knowledge of databases and constructing SQL commands.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working in a regulated environment preferably in software medical device R&D and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of FDA, ISO, and other regulations and standards.
• Working knowledge of process validation (GAMP5 - CSV - Computer Systems Validation)
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure (preferred) / Amazon Web Services.
• Experience in Agile software development with rapid delivery of high-quality software using CI/CD process

$93,200 - $199,900salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
