What do we need?

The mission of the Performance Analytics Manager is to perform detailed reviews of enterprise-wide operational and financial metrics and processes with the goal of identifying and capitalizing upon opportunities for process, efficiency, and cost improvement. You will support decision makers by delivering key performance insights and providing actionable recommendations through the utilization of robust data analysis. Using modern business systems such as Microsoft PowerBI, client EHR systems, and financial statistics and tools, the Performance Analytics Manager monitors key performance indicators to proactively uncover patterns and outliers that are impacting business outcomes. With a deep knowledge and understanding of Aspirion's products and operations, this role is tasked with helping team members, senior leadership, and clients make more thoughtful and effective decisions by unlocking insights otherwise hidden or obscured.

What will you provide?

  • Develop expert-level knowledge of Aspirion's products/services and operational workflows
  • Master tools like Microsoft PowerBI to monitor and analyze large amounts of data quickly
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and senior management to understand business needs and priorities
  • Assist business line owners in analyzing and understanding monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational performance trends
  • Identify key performance indicators, then build dashboards to trend historical performance and monitor future performance
  • Engage with the appropriate client system SMEs to gain familiarity and comfort with the top 5 client systems
  • Collaborate with the PowerBI Development and Governance team to develop data models that support analytic needs
  • Create end-user visualizations in MS PowerBI using data models supplied by the PowerBI Development & Governance team
  • Analyze monthly financial statements
  • Provide end-user PowerBI and analytics training for junior staff members to facilitate the utilization of data throughout the organization
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal and client stakeholders

Requirements

Professional Competencies

  • Ability to review, analyze and comprehend large quantities of data to recognize patterns and outliers that can be influencing business outcomes
  • Strong focus on uncovering root causes and drivers of reported outcomes.
  • Ability to translate data findings into "stories" and "discussions" to engage with end-users and stakeholders on solution brainstorming
  • Strong communication skills, especially around breaking down complex data structures into digestible and meaningful metrics to drive business decisions for a diverse set of leaders
  • Demonstrate an extreme sense of ownership of the business's performance and a desire to drive better results
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to proactively assess project status and highlight issues
  • Identify gaps to Aspirion standards and targets and document operational risks
  • Interpret basic data sets and create data analyses to drive contractually agreed upon metrics
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and develop solutions in a timely manner
  • Coach staff and managers to improve workflow and operational metrics
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or similar field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial/operational analysis role required, healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, DOMO or other modern BI tools required, with the ability to quickly develop expert-level skills in Power BI
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with formulas and performance measurement methodology
  • Strong project management skills, including hands-on experience with issue escalation and management
