3 days a month onsite in Dallas, TX, paid travel.

Insight Enterprises is seeking a Remote Platform Support Engineer (Kubernetes and Golang). This is a 8 W2 contract, that has the opportunity to extend and/or convert to a long term hire. This position will be remote, though will require working onsite 3 days a month (Tuesday - Thursday, once a month) working onsite in Dallas, TX, paid travel.

Location: Remote; with 3 days a month (Tuesday - Thursday) working onsite in Dallas, TX, paid travel.

Pay: Dependent on experience, range is $85.00 to $120.00 an hour

Requirement: Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, employment, and education check.

Overview: Platform Support Engineer (PSE) with a strong expertise in Kubernetes and Golang

• Must have Kubernetes POD networking experience
• Must have Kubernetes deployments experience
• Must have Golang Experience
• Must have Kubernetes operators experience
• Must have Helm charts, helm chart components experience
• Explain how you would mount a database to persist the data from apps hosted in a POD

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented Platform Engineer with a strong expertise in Kubernetes and Golang. This role will be responsible for working with our existing team to redesign and transform Kubernetes operators from Python to Golang to improve reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Provide automated integration and configuration with network, access control, load balancer, and DNS that every app needed

Provide consistent, secure and fast path to Azure migration and adoption

Create scalable infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub actions

Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve issues impacting platform performance

Continually monitor and analyze system performance and implement improvements

Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth deployment of applications and upgrades

Develop and maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Participate in on-call rotation for system support and incident response

Requirements:

Significant experience in platform engineering, specifically with Kubernetes and Golang

Experience working with Terraform and GitHub actions

Strong working knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure

Knowledge of security best practices and experience with identity and access management

Previous experience working with automation tools and scripting languages

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
