Position Summary:
The Regional Accounts Manager is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing business, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction for a defined customer list and/or region. This is achieved via an in depth understanding of the customer and business environment. The overall objective is to meet the Company's annual growth and profit targets.

Core Functions:• Sell bulk refined and specialty oils and shortenings to national and regional food companies. Emphasis is on soy and canola products, palm, in addition to others as directed.• Ensure compliance with all work processes in accordance with Bunge's safety policies, procedures and culture, including but not limited to driving and customer on-site trials.• Develop, implement and execute account plans to meet territory budget for profit and volume objectives as part of the overall sales plan.• Build and enhance long-term relationships with selected accounts by establishing business relationships with key decision makers and influencers in multiple disciplines (i.e. R&D, Marketing, Purchasing) at the customer and at various levels, presenting ideas and innovative solutions that meet customer needs.• Account management activities including, but not limited to, • Manage contract booking and phasing, and monitor customer pulls• Monitor receivables/payment terms ensuring timely payment from customers• Executing margin levels with direction from Senior Management• Grow relationships across multiple disciplines • Increase volume and profitability of the territory• Manage pipeline projects and new business launches• Collect relevant competitors' market information to increase market intelligence and identify opportunities.• Lead and motivate the internal Sales Support Team to manage all aspects of the sales process and prioritize all commercial and technical activities that will generate greatest value for Bunge Loders Croklaan and the customer.• Drive growth through prospecting, collaborative visits, presentations, research and senior management contacts.• Secure internal and external resources needed to support and achieve defined regional business plans.• The Regional Account Manager is responsible for Food Safety and Quality by understanding and communicating our company Quality and Food Safety Systems.

Skills/Experience Requirements:• Bachelors' Degree in agricultural economics, food science or related science, or Business and 7+ years of food industry and customer management experience, or equivalent experience. • Extensive account management experience, selling to food processors.• Ability to get things done through others in a collaborative manner to achieve common goals.• Must be creative in finding solutions with the help of others.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Strong negotiation skills.• Must demonstrate strong team commitment and ability to energize and motivate self and others.• Financial and business management aptitude.• Ability to apply advanced consultative selling skills and large account management understanding to successfully grow sales and profitability.• Must demonstrate ability to make decisions and execute in an efficient manner.• Ability to plan and develop strategies that support the goals of the business plan.
