Remote Senior C# .NET Platform Engineer - Java, VueJS, Angular, React, AWS, Azure - DevX Developer

On our new DevX team, you'll be working on cutting edge tools to improve developer experience and integrate products seamlessly across the company. This role is for developers who are curious and interested in understanding what's going on behind the scenes. The tools we build automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate the creation of new microservices, and provision infrastructure in our partnered cloud service providers. You'll also maintain platform code that solves authentication, authorization, and SSO across newly acquired products. This team will also help consider and POC new technologies for our growing needs. In this role, you will at times work closely with our DevOps team and our application developers to help provide guidance on use of tooling and platform code. You'll be working as a full-stack engineer in this space that is a cross between app development and DevOps with cutting-edge tools and frameworks like Vue.js, Net Core, AWS, Groovy, AuthO, and Terraform, in an Agile Scrum process on a team of 4-5 rock star developers.

Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions through new and existing applications and tools. Besides working closely with your team of 4-5 developers, you will also work with other development teams at eVestment.

• Implement, test, and maintain rich web application software and tooling.
• Guide more junior developers in code reviews, task estimation, and design discussions.
• Design and monitor the automated tooling for deploying AWS infrastructure for new and existing microservices.
• Implement solutions across a variety of front-end (VueJS, ExtJS, ASP.NET MVC), back-end (.NET Core, .NET Framework), data-layer (MS SQL Server, Aurora Serverless PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Elasticsearch), and DevOps (Jenkins, Docker) technologies and frameworks.

We expect you to have

• A degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years experience in web development.
• Experience in one or more server-side programming languages, such as C#, Java, or similar.
• Experience in one or more modern front-end Javascript frameworks, such as Vue, Angular, React, or similar.
• Experience using relational database engines, such as SQL Server, MySql, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Experience using common software development tools and technologies, such as version control, Visual Studio, etc.

It would be great if you have

• Experience or knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience or knowledge of no-SQLdata stores, such as Amazon DynamoDB or Elasticsearch.
• Experience or knowledge of microservices design & development.
• Experience or knowledge of container technologies, such as Docker.
• Experience or knowledge of devops practices and tooling, such as Jenkins.
