What You Will Do

• You will lead or mentor a technical team in design and development of components, sub-systems, and/or systems for medical devices
• You will apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various products within business unit
• You will assess and integrate new technologies and capabilities (prototyping, testing, et.al.) for the organization
• You will mentor and influence in correction of complex product design issues
• You will navigate and influence the Intellectual landscape for filings and protection
• You will translate user needs to design inputs/ specifications and produce system/architectural level layouts and platform designs
• You will develop and influence a number of invention disclosures, patents or trade secrets
• You will lead architecture of a complex system and guide design tradeoff decisions
• You will generate and review the necessary documents with project teams. (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test)

Business Responsibilities:

• You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape
• You will partner with customers, internal and external key opinion leaders to develop technical strategies that meet clinical needs
• You will strategize and execute customer-facing activities like voice of customer and customer centric design across the business
• You will collaborate on financial /business modeling and support business reviews to validate a technical approach

Med Device Compliance:

• You will be a divisional expert with extensive experience applying industry standards in device development
• You will act as independent reviewer and advisor for the creation or refinement of engineering documentation, such as the Design History file
• You will lead the development of standards and regulations, working closely with functions within and across business

General Responsibilities:

• You will lead cooperative efforts with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success
• You will lead and support team members to create or improve procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology requirements
• You will develop and utilize tools to enhance the company's product/process development or performance
• You will help mentor and grow technical talent within discipline/function
• You will lead and support complex product development for cross functional teams, influencing multiple technical areas of expertise
• You will hold teams accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline
• 10+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):

Technical Skills:

• Experience leading system software implementation using programming skills.
• Experience designing new components applying various concepts design concepts and patterns.

Design and Development Skills:

• Experience collaboratively leading strategies for integrated development environments (IDE) structures for projects; tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage and techniques for analyzing software and integration and deployment processes.

Software Process Skills:

• Experience leading the adoption of Software Development Life Cycle process changes and best practices. Provide strategic planning and guidance for project based SDLC decisions
• Experience leading the adoption of Application Lifecycle Management /Traceability best practices and tools
• Experience leading teams in creating estimates for code implementation including time/resources for projects
• Experience with Regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

$138,700- $305,500salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors
