The Electronics and Sensors Division (ESD) is a world-class engineering and scientific leader in electronics and remote sensing systems. Our staff includes subject matter experts across a broad range of disciplines including radio frequency; infrared; visible and spectral sensors; sensor exploitation methods; analog and digital electronics; vehicle power systems; and space system electronic parts, materials, and processes. Our expertise, combined with sophisticated in-house laboratories, prototyping, modeling, and simulation, and data processing and exploitation capabilities, enables ESD to deliver innovative solutions to national space systems and civil customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Use your strong enterprise Windows and Linux expertise to administer and manage systems and software for a team of remote-sensing data analysts solving hard problems in service of the intelligence and defense communities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware faults, across multiple network models in classified and unclassified environments.
- Provide reports, presentations, highlights, and communicate findings on a regular basis.
- Install and maintain software solutions for software development and engineering support
- Manage data backup and restoral using multiple backup solutions.
- Advise on computer and peripheral device upgrades in compliance with security compliance requirements.
- Work on long-term information technology improvements as they are identified
- Contribute to geolocation accuracy, image quality, and other assessments as required, depending on function/organizational requirements.
- Frequently interact with interorganizational and government customer contacts.
- Collect, organize, and manage data from a variety of sources. Conduct searches for data meeting specific parameters as required for a project. Establish data cataloguing paradigm to facilitate rapid retrieval for quick turn-around and high priority analyses.
- Ensure that data collection and analysis comply with appropriate privacy, security, and governance regulations.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in software and hardware-based system administration and management including the use of Linux and Windows.
- Experience supporting, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, hardware, applications, data backup, data restoral, and system automation and configuration management technologies.
- Experienced systems, network, database, and applications administrator
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot problems
- Must be detailed oriented, customer focused and able to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work interactively and effectively with both Aerospace and vendor personnel.
- Interest in the application of remote sensing data and information to the intelligence and defense communities.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Information Assurance Technical Level-I (computing environment) certification
- Information Assurance Technical Level-II (network environment) certification
- Current active TS/SCI security clearance
- Final Adjudicated CI Polygraph
Desired Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent accreditation in Information Systems Technology. Database Administration, or Systems Network Support, Advances Communications, etc.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience with Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or 10 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma
- Exposure to or experience with remote sensing systems
