Position Summary:
The Snowflake Administrator will be responsible for all databases used for our Business Intelligence and Analytics environments in a 24x7 environment. This position will primarily be focused on Snowflake and will be expected to become a Snowflake expert quickly. The ideal candidate's expertise will contribute to the organization's data-driven initiatives and help drive business success through effective data management and analytics.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for design, implementation, and administration of Snowflake based analytics and data warehouse environment
- Develop, maintain, and oversee Snowflake deployment and usage best practices to ensure high performing solutions are both cost effective and secure
- Educate development teams and power users on both the capabilities and limitations of Snowflake
- Work with 3rd party staffing and support providers as required
- Own all aspects related to maintaining a high level of uptime for all production databases.
- Develop and implement proactive monitoring
- Responsible for maintaining environment diagrams, development standards, and team documents and checklists
- Responsible for defining processes to support administering accounts
- Assist operations and developers with troubleshooting as needed
- Liaison with Security and IT Architecture Teams as required
- Assist with risk and issue identification and resolution
- Develop and maintain security, disaster recovery and business continuity documentation, playbook, and checklists
- Implement security, roles, users and privileges using the best practices
- Proactively identify, design, and implement improvements like automating manual processes
- Keep up to date with latest features and best practices in Snowflake administration
- Provide off-hour support and on-call support as needed
- Other projects or duties as assigned
