Remote Software Engineer (Mid-Sr)
Job Description
We're seeking a Software Developer - III to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs, as well as testing and evaluating new programs. Troubleshooting software issues, responding to suggestions for improvements, and writing efficient code are integral parts of this position. Additionally, you'll develop quality assurance procedures and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics. Collaboration with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts is key, and you'll also act as a team leader on projects. Your tasks will include participating in the development of software user manuals and providing guidance to other developers on the team. Furthermore, you'll consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
List of Tasks to be Performed:
- Participate in application architecture design reviews, translating business and technical requirements into application architecture definition.
- Review, analyze, and identify computer systems functional and system requirements.
- Participate on teams to outline processes and scope out improvements achievable through the application solution.
- Maintain highly complex and technical applications and systems, revising and updating them as necessary.
- Provide mentoring to associate analyst/programmers.
- Support software deployments and server patching during maintenance windows.
- Provide production support when required, including during off hours.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the following:
- Languages: Java, Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Frameworks: J2EE, REST API, MVC, JSF, JPA, EJB, JDBC, XML, DTD/XSD
- Web/Front End: JSP, Servlets, AJAX, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, XML, HTML, JQuery, DHTML Concepts OOAD, UML, Design Patterns, Data Modeling
- Automated Testing: Junit, Selenium
- Agile scrum methodologies
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. Alternatively, four additional years of related experience can substitute for a degree.
- Ability to perform all functional duties independently.
- Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
