Remote Solutions Engineer

Amentum is seeking a fully Remote Solutions Engineer who will provide thoughtful, forward leaning, and efficient technology solutions supporting our Washington, DC customer in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities:

• Performs day-to-day activities required to assist and identify technology solutions that meet enterprise requirements.
• Maps functional requirements into technological requirements and identifies technologies that meet the technological requirements.
• Conduct proof of concept, pilots, and demos for the purposes of evaluating the suitability of given technologies for meeting requirements.
• Evaluate the tradeoffs between competing solutions and develops quantitative driven analysis of alternatives.
• Produce written analysis of research and recommendation papers that clearly describe the process followed, alternatives considered, evaluation criteria and rationale for recommendation and need for additional work.
• Collaborate with System Owners to troubleshoot and resolve Break/Fix issues

Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $127,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years of related experience providing business solutions engineering support, to include architectural design, engineering design, proof of concept development, pilots, analysis, results, and documentation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Data Center Information Management (DCIM) tools such as Nlyte or APC ITA
• Experience with ServiceNow Ticketing System
• Familiarity with APC power distribution (UPS, PDU, etc.) and Environmental Monitoring (Netbotz series) equipment
• Strong understanding of all aspects of Data Center Operations and Maintenance
  • Familiarity with basic Cisco commands
  • Basic understanding of Capacity Planning
  • Comfortable using MS Office Tools to include Visio
  • Experience with copper and fiber cabling as well as rack equipment installation
