The Remote Senior IT Database Administrator, is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies and providing IT with a long-term perspective on the relationship between database technology and business objectives. Participates in the requirement development for applying business needs to database solutions. Ensure requirements are accurately reflecting the business processes. Provides work breakdown and direction to more junior team members.
What will you do?
This opportunity may be based 100% Remote within the domestic USA - Central Time zone preferred, but open to EST, MST and PAC for the right candidate. Candidates may also explore the discussion of working at an established Toro worksite, if it is more convenient.

What will you do?
- Acts independently or as a member of a project team to provide analytical support and consulting on projects.
- Uses knowledge, creativity, company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems. Work with business representatives to combine business and technical requirements in the development phase.
- Create automation for database infrastructure projects, deployment automation and administrative tasks.
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency for databases by running regular built-in utilities and custom-built routines and processes.
- Develop and executes test plans and testing for complex solutions.
- Take on additional database responsibilities as skill set increases.
- IT Operations on-call rotation responsibilities
What do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, a related degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of prior relevant work experience, required minimum.
- Experience with MS SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Cloud Database Services required (other cloud Database services preferred in addition). Programming experience with Infrastructure as a code (IAC) and DevOps models. Ability to create Database Projects (Visual Studio preferred), and CI/CD automation processes.
- In-depth understanding of the database engine and strong performance tuning skills.
- Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
- Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking.

- Competitive Salary - The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115K-$145K. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. If you need to, you can access your pay early with the EVEN app.
