What You'll Be Doing in the role of Sr. Specialist, Social Marketing

Responsible for supporting overall Susan G. Komen social marketing strategy to support engagement and revenue goals. This will require someone who can work independently yet collaboratively with colleagues in various functions to tell Susan G. Komen's story. Additionally, must be experienced in social media content creation, an expert in platform-specific best practices and campaign analysis, with the ability to translate emerging digital trends into actionable plans. In this role, you will lead the continued development of a localized strategy to amplify the Komen social footprint.

What You Will Bring to the Table

Develops and packages localized content featuring a mix of survivor stories, advocacy, news, events and education.

Provides training and consultation to equip and guide local markets with social media best practices.

Responsible for managing content calendar as well as creating, editing and publishing frequent and daily social content that builds audiences, generates engagement and moves users to donate and/or fundraise.

Responsible for updating Airtable with content and metrics.

Manage presence in social networking sites, engaging in dialogue and answering questions where appropriate.

Responsible for growing Komen's social revenue through acquiring and stewarding fundraisers and donors. And collaborating across the organization with events and shared services operating groups.

Collaborates with the digital, creative and social media teams to identify opportunities for audience and traffic growth across social platforms.

Focus on optimization and channel growth through creation of and A/B testing strategy to promote innovation and growth.

Build and maintain relationships with internal business partners and actively seek out and develop content that inspires and motivates users to take action, builds brand awareness, trust and consideration.

Ensure that Komen social media platforms provide a voice for the breast cancer community to be heard.

Be at the forefront of trends and developments in the evolving social media industry; provide insight on trends and relevant topics.

Stays current on emerging and competitive trends in the digital space to provide new creative ideas for programs or platforms and opportunities to expand Komen's reach.

Reports both weekly, monthly and quarterly including move forward recommendations.

We Already Know You Will Also Have

Experience with all social media platforms, especially Facebook, including groups

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrable social networking experience and understanding of analytics tools

Skilled in asset creation tools, such as Canva

Experience utilizing social management and monitoring tools such as Sprout, and Hootsuite

Excellent writing and communications skills

Proactive, collaborative and positive strategic thinker, willing to take smart risks and lead initiatives with confidence and tasks to completion

Strong organizational and data input skills, attention to detail, creativity and ability to think outside the box

Minimum of 2 years of social media experience required to effectively perform the job's responsibilities.

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in related field.

Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Travel requirements required outside of your office will be less than 15% depending on our business needs.
