Remote VoIP/VTC Administrator

SUMMARY
As our Remote VoIP/VTC Administrator, it will be your responsibility to oversee and maintain the Unified Communications VOIP and Video Teleconferencing infrastructures on the DIGIT contract for the General Services Administration as it continues to transform into today's communications and collaboration environments. Additionally, the VOIP/VTC engineer will migrate Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) users to Zoom so that GSA can move to a Zoom consumption-based model. This includes decommissioning of the current Cisco solution from the environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:
- Zoom
- Resolve incidents related to the VoIP migration efforts
- Decommissioning of current Cisco solution
- Asset Management
- Provide user support for transitioning to Zoom and ensure users find the Zoom service reliable, easy to use, and intuitive.
- VTC Endpoint configuration / deployment (Edge aware configuration)
- WebEx configuration, operation and deployment
- Experience with certificates and security vulnerability management
- General UC
- Jabber configuration, operation and deployment
- Web apps (Zoom, Google)
- Excellent communication with team, Client and vendor
- Excellent attention to detail
- Possesses an up-to-date understanding of current VTC models and trends, including cloud based technologies, in order to provide expert guidance, and advice to the customer in regard to the VTC industry, particularly in the post-pandemic landscape.
- Participates in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations
- Participates in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents
- Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the lifecycle
- Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues and conflicts
- Participates in and initiates concept development and trade-off studies
- Prepares complete documentation of methods, procedures, and design
- Assists with implementation of combined hardware/software systems
- Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
This following are REQUIRED for this position:
- Public Trust Clearance by start date.
- ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.
- Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
- Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
- Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following are DESIRED for this position:
- Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Slack, and ServiceNow.
- Zoom administrative experience.
- Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 7-12 years of experience and bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience supporting VOIP and Video Teleconferencing infrastructures
- Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
