About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Renewals Manager. As a key member of our go-to-market team, you will be responsible for managing the renewals process within our Corporate customer base on consumption contracts. Your primary objective will be to drive customer retention and improve revenue growth through effective and scalable renewal strategies and customer engagement. The ideal candidate has exceptional relationship-building skills and a highly developed sense of empathy for customers.

What you'll do
  1. Renewals Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive renewals strategies to improve efficient customer retention rates and increase revenue growth.
  2. Renewals Forecasting: Monitor and analyze renewal pipeline, collaborate with Customer Success to identify potential risks, and maintain notes and status to report on the pipeline to Leadership. Proactively develop strategies to mitigate churn and secure renewal revenue.
  3. Account Team Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key account team members from Sales and Customer Success to help drive renewal discussions and execution.
  4. Standard Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with customers and account teams to negotiate common contract terms to arrive at favorable renewal terms and pricing, ensuring a happy outcome for both parties. Non-standard negotiations will require the Sales team's participation.
  5. Renewal Quoting and Contract Administration: In conjunction with Sales counterparts, prepare accurate renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring timely delivery to customers and coordinating with internal teams as needed.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance metrics and reports related to renewal rates, revenue forecasting, and customer satisfaction to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Process Improvement: Find opportunities to streamline and improve the renewals process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement standard processes and drive operational efficiency.
  8. Contract Compliance: Collaborate with Aurora's Deal Desk to ensure contract standards are met and upheld.
  9. Expansion Opportunities: Track and share with Sales upsell opportunities that did not close as part of the renewal contract.

What we value
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, customer success, renewal management, or account management roles
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic renewal plans, forecast renewals, and meet or exceed renewal targets
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales enablement tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of the SaaS products and business model, including subscription-based revenue models and customer lifecycle, is nice to have
