Overview

The Renewals team is a global function that partners with colleagues across the business to meet our revenue goals through creative deal structuring, problem-solving, and sophisticated negotiation. You will be the trusted partner and go-to person to maintain customer retention and organic growth of our existing client base. You will communicate with the broader customer success and sales organization to deliver a positive high-value customer experience at the time of renewal, and throughout the client journey.

Functions

  • Be the face of the renewal; own, drive, and lead relationships with key market data/procurement contact(s) at assigned clients and proactively plan for all renewals.
  • Strategize internally, working with client success on pricing, structure, potential churn, and/or downgrade.
  • Meet frequently virtually and onsite with the client(s) to further deepen the relationship and discuss renewal structure and costs with relevant team members.
  • Spend time exploring what success looks like to both the client and the individual to create better win-win negotiations
  • Remove client success manager (CSM) from lengthy renewal negotiation
  • Proactively identify any renewal risks within an account and lead deal structuring and negotiation in response to M&A activity
  • Provide frequent updates to CSM on relationship intelligence, potential renewal issues, or growth opportunities.
  • Ensure annual price increase and retention goal from assigned clients is met and exceeded should be part of the account plan.
  • Work closely with Revenue & Sales Ops to ensure renewals are processed timely & accurately.
  • Learn the needs of clients to understand where we can recommend the system and process enhancements.
  • Work with clients and finance to ensure timely payment of invoices and reduced AR.


Knowledge & Abilities Required
  • Working knowledge of adherence to billing process and procedure, particularly in a Finance or Service/Sales Operations function
  • Expertise in SaaS retention and renewal process
  • Ability to identify process improvements, and recommendations on how to execute enhancements.
  • Ability to proactively resolve invoice and billing complex issues and identify ways to prevent them from arising in the future
  • Work closely with the client success, sales, and support teams for a seamless renewal experience


Education & Experience
  • 3-5 years of account management/ and or renewal experience with a background in using Salesforce.
  • Relevant experience working within the Financial Services sector.
  • Exposure to or experience of working in the institutional investment management industry with consulting / financial advisory firms, investment managers, or banking institutions is a strong plus.
