The Amplify Business Operations team is looking for an experienced Report Developer, Business Operations. This role is responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements as well as business processes to deploy reporting solutions that will drive efficiencies and data accuracy using Tableau, or other reporting tools. This role will ensure successful fulfillment of business requirements by either directly developing solutions or partnering with technical implementers.
This role works closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams (product, customer operations, partner success) to define scope, document requirements, create mock ups and develop reports on time and on budget to support strategic business goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Translate business needs into reporting requirements, identifying technology gaps and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Design and create data visualizations (reports and dashboards) as required to support business needs
  • Analyze datasets and reports to ensure data accuracy
  • Debug and resolve reporting issues.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and devise both short and long term solutions to ensure accurate reportingCollaborate with Key Partners, Subject Matter Experts, Technical Resources and Developers to define requirements and scope, and complete project deliverables within deadlines
  • Coordinate, organize, and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment to deliver dashboards and reports to support business needs
  • Build project artifacts such as user stories, requirements, and flowcharts, including writing and executing meticulous testing scripts
  • Track and communicate project status, issues, risks and decisions to senior management in an Agile, change-laden environment
  • Stay up to date and quickly obtain proficiency in new technologies and tools, as needed, to meet business needs

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise with reporting technologies and tools such as:
  • Tableau (basic expressions, level of detail formulas, table calculations, parameters, filters)
  • Google Reporting Suite (auto populate dynamically from multiple data sources, develop advanced formulates, Google App Scripts for spreadsheet automation, Google Data Studio)
  • Solid understanding of relational database architecture and proficient in writing SQL queries
  • Familiarity with data structures and reporting
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages. examples: JavaScript, php, python

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the education technology field
  • Experience leading software development or process improvement projects
  • Certification in a related process (PMP, Lean Sigma Six, Agile Scrum-master) a plus
  • Experience with Netsuite, Salesforce, Looker and other BI tools

What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
