Job Description:

Overview

The Report Production Squad Lead is a key role within Welocalize’s Data Operations & Analytics Team. This position is responsible for spearheading a dedicated team of BI Reporting Analysts in India, aimed at efficiently generating PowerBI reports to support our team of Analytics Specialists, Business Technology Analysts, and broader business objectives. This individual will embody a bridge between technical data operations and strategic business insights, ensuring on-demand report generation and potential engagement in low-level engineering tasks.

Main Duties:

Team Management and Development:

• Recruiting, training, and managing a robust team of BI Reporting Analysts.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team development in data analysis, and reporting competencies.
• Conducting regular performance reviews and facilitating professional growth opportunities for team members.

Report Production:

• Overseeing the efficient production of accurate, timely, and insightful PowerBI reports, as per the requirements communicated through JIRA tickets.
• Collaborating closely with the Analytics Specialists to understand and fulfill reporting needs, ensuring alignment with Welocalize's broader data strategy.

Process Optimization:

• Establishing and refining processes for receiving, prioritizing, and completing report requests.
• Actively identifying opportunities for streamlining report production and enhancing the team’s overall efficiency.

Technical Engagement:

• Possibly engaging in low-level engineering tasks such as updating ETLs, in alignment with the capabilities of the team.
• Staying updated on, and ensuring the team's adherence to, best practices in PowerBI, SQL, Python, and related systems/platforms.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Ensuring clear and precise communication between the Indian-based Report Production Squad and the global Analytics Specialist team.
• Liaising with various stakeholders within and outside the Data Operations & Analytics Team to ensure that reporting outputs are in tune with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 experience in managing a technical team, preferably within a Western company setup.
• Proficiency in PowerBI is a must, with strong skills in SQL, Python, and other relevant data platforms/systems.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, with an ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensure continuous workflow.
