Summary/Overview:

KBRA Analytics is seeking a BDC & Credit Funds Reporter to join DLD (Direct Lending Deals) our news and analysis team in the Chicago office.  

In this role, the BDC Reporter will cover Business Development Companies, a key component of the $1 trillion+ private credit market.

We are looking to fill this role in downtown Chicago at KBRA’s newly opened office at 71 S. Wacker, a modern building that offers many amenities including a state-of-the-art gym, cafe and co-working spaces. The office is close to the L trains, Ogilvie and Union Stations.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• We’re looking for a minimum of five years experience covering BDCs and/or debt markets such as middle market, private credit, syndicated loans or high yield.
• The role requires real-time reporting on BDC portfolio company investments and fundraising, writing about broader market themes, and tracking trends across yields and non-accruals.
• Like our current team, you will succeed here by taking your own initiative to dig beyond the press release.
• Expect to track trends and data.
• Candidates will have strong writing and reporting skills, and a base of existing market contacts. Simple knowledge of excel or a willingness to self-teach are required.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 to $140,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
