Financial Planning, Reporting & Control Manager
 

Position Summary

Responsible for preparing, consolidated corporate financial statements coordinating dealership and corporate business planning; account reconciliations; and designing and implementing internal control structures to record and report on all accounting transactions.

Business Analysis and Reporting

 

  • Co-ordinate the formulation of the business operating plans/budget and monitor progress towards their achievement, drawing attention to important trends and opportunities to maximize earning and minimize risk.
  • Provide support to Operation Leadership in developing strategic business plans.
  • Perform the financial and variance analysis of the business’ monthly performance.
  • Help drive effective cost management for dealerships and products.
  • Identify, assess and advise on information required for management decision making.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as may be required from time to time.

 

Financial Management & Reporting

 

  • Prepare consolidated corporate financial statements.
  • Ensure timely month-end closings and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Evaluate and adapt financial accounting systems and processes to respond to emerging developments.
  • Understand financial cost accounting, systems designs and internal controls.
  • Enhance internal and financial controls through improvement of existing infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison to external auditors.
  • Support dealership leadership and prepare dealership financial statements as assigned.
  • Other duties assigned from time to time.
Must haves:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent
  • 3+ Years' experience with Financial Planning and or Accounting
  • Strong skill with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains or like system.
