From your first day as a Marketing Research & Operations Analyst, you will play an essential role at Bay Area News Group. This role is a key member of the Marketing team and carries a dual role to provide Market Research & Marketing Operations to support our B2B marketing efforts.

We offer local news and information websites and mobile apps offering rich multimedia experiences across the nation.

This is a fully remote position but must be located in the Bay Area.
The annual salary range is $65,000 - $70,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).

From your first day as a Marketing Research & Operations Analyst, you will play an essential role at Bay Area News Group. This role is a key member of the Marketing team and carries a dual role to provide Market Research & Marketing Operations to support our B2B marketing efforts.

What you will do:
- Provide key insights and analysis to support our advertising sales teams
- Use market research data to create and update sales collateral. Utilize our third-party research services, Google Analytics, and internal database systems and work with other cross functional teams as necessary to produce compelling sales materials to help drive sales initiatives
- Manage B2B operations across multiple marketing disciplines in support of digital and print advertising offerings: driving leads to support sales
- Own the sales and marketing funnels for the digital advertising sales division
- Work with the internal teams to deploy email campaigns, manage content marketing and social media marketing to engage new prospects and encourage retention
- Lead a recurring dialog with advertising sales teams to support business objectives. Analyze data to support strategy/tactical options for addressing/achieving these business objectives
- Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis by synthesizing data from multiple sources to identify trends in overall performance in a multi-channel environment
- Assist with planning and executing B2B marketing campaigns (digital and print) for BANG and its portfolio. Act as a marketing liaison for the sales team and manage their collateral needs.
- Implement new initiatives, define processes and guidelines to maximize ROI of marketing campaigns
What you will bring:
- 2+ years of experience in data-related role and/or product marketing role (business analytics, market research, campaign management, product management and similar fields)
- Creative firepower - proven ability to generate ideas!
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Listrak or other email systems
- Experience driving marketing campaign projects from beginning to end: creation, operation, reporting
- Ability to collaborate with team members to architect lead nurture campaigns
- Experience managing third party software/campaign vendor relationships and communicating complex analysis to any audience
- Understanding of quantitative research and statistical analysis with experience using data to support a point of view
- Flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience with social media and database management experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
