Job Description
Comperemedia is the premier source for monitoring competitive intelligence in direct marketing. The Insights team is looking for a strong Research Analyst to envision, prepare and deliver research findings to our suite of clients primarily within the insurance sector. In this role, you will be responsible for checking, producing and delivering reports using data that has been collected through Comperemedia’s proprietary marketing-tracking database as well as other third party resources.
This role has the option of sitting in our US headquarters office in Chicago or working remotely in an approved state within the US as long as the individual has eligible working rights. Interviews and onboarding are currently being conducted virtually.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Writing Reports: Writing syndicated, ad-hoc and custom market research reports, based on in-house data and other best-in-class sources of competitive marketing intelligence, for insurance clients.
- Demonstrating a Strong Grasp on Insurance: You will become well-versed in various insurance sectors, including life, health, and P&C. Through a combination of working with Comperemedia’s insurance Thought Leader, industry desk research, and analyzing insurance marketing campaigns, you will deepen your knowledge of the sector.
- Identifying Market and Consumer Trends: You will constantly spot trends and tell a story with the data on how they impact cross-channel marketing.
- Giving Clients Actionable Insights: You will provide excellent customer service by delivering insightful, visually interesting reports for clients with implications and next steps.
- Presenting: You will gain experience and confidence in presenting your work to clients.
- Managing Deadlines: You will be responsible for tracking and adhering to timelines and deliverables for multiple long and short-term projects.

- An Analyst: You should love working with data and have a minimum of two years of professional experience analyzing competitive or consumer data with a research capacity.
- Marketing Knowledge: You have an understanding of cross-channel marketing practices and are able to make data-driven recommendations and decisions.
- Digital Media Savvy: You have experience with digital media analysis, research or measurement.
- Data-driven: You have a strong grasp of analyzing data in Excel and are able to translate that data into a story in PowerPoint; experience with syndicated datasets, such as IRI, ACNielsen, comScore, Competitrack, etc. is a plus.
- A Storyteller: You are able to pull various types of data sets into a story, with experience weaving compelling narratives to meet objectives.
- Naturally Curious: You are always drawn to knowing the “why” behind things and great at digging into the data to pull out key points of interest.
- Multi-tasker: You can pivot on a moment’s notice; managing multiple projects and varying timelines to make sure client deadlines for each project are met. Strong organizational and problem solving skills are a must.
- Collaborator: You take pride in the team you are a part of and the work you produce. Cultivating professional relationships with your colleagues is important and you are constantly finding innovative and unique ways to create an exceptional work environment.
- Independent Contributor: You have a strong ability to work independently to develop reports and presentations and meet deadlines.
