Research Associate

The Research Associate will work under the direction of a lead scientist to conduct experiments and assist in writing SOPs and documenting experimental protocols and results. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge and experiencing using common laboratory equipment.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

• Execute experiments, and protocols, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and best practices.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop experimental plans and strategies.
• Develop and optimize research methodologies, techniques, and protocols to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in writing SOPs and generating documents for manufacturing transfer

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related fields
• 1-2 years laboratory experience in an industry environment
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions, pay attention to details, be data-driven, and think strategically to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Proficiency in basic lab techniques such as determining molarity and concentration, using a pipette, operating a pH meter, formulating buffers, proper handling biomolecules such as proteins and DNA, and compliant with GLP
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be flexible and move to different projects.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $50,000-$65,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position,  an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
